The Knicks led 69-62 at the half at Madison Square Garden on Wednesday night.
During halftime, multi-platinum selling singer and songwriter Mary J. Blige performed for the New York crowd.
The 54-year-old New York native sang her hit song Family Affair, and Shaq was distracted by it, to say the least.
TNT’s Inside the NBA crew was analyzing the first half while the halftime performance was going on in the background, when O’Neal interrupted host Ernie Johnson.

“I can’t take it no more, Ernie!” the NBA icon said before standing up and performing some dance moves.
“I can’t take it no more, Ernie.”
The cameras pointed to Blige and the Knicks cheerleaders performing on the court as Johnson noticed that Kenny “The Jet” Smith was getting a little too happy over Shaq’s dancing.
“I’m going to have to ask you two, control it,” Johnson told O’Neal and Smith.
But Smith couldn’t handle himself and proceeded to stand up and move his arms in a dancing fashion.
“I can’t control anything! I can’t control anything,” Smith said.
The Inside the NBA crew, which also included Charles Barkley and Golden State Warriors star Draymond Green, was in hysterics during the moment.
But NBA fans were shocked at Shaquille’s sudden dancing on live TV.
“Shaq’s still got it, wow!” one wrote.
“Can’t blame Shaq. MJB is a legend,” a second said.
“Salute to Shaq for gettin’ down to Mary J. Blige! Had to!” a third commented.

“Shaq & Kenny just randomly dancing to Mary J. Blige was funny as hell,” a fourth added.
New York Knicks star Jalen Brunson had his way in the first three quarters.
He scored 27 points on 10-of-16 shooting, along with five assists and one rebound.
The Knicks lead the Pacers 90-87 after 36 minutes of play.
