The Browns selected Judkins with the No. 36 overall pick.
ESPN’s cameras showed the Browns’ draft room trying to reach Judkins, who was with his family and friends.
The Browns attempted to get in touch with Judkins to inform him where he’d play at the professional level.
His draft party instead answered the phone and informed the Browns that he wasn’t in the room.
They then yelled for Judkins, and after a few seconds, he appeared to answer the phone.
Fans were shocked by the live television sequence of Judkins’ absence at his NFL Draft party.
“That’s hilarious,” one wrote.
“This is wild,” another commented.
“Judkins cannot be serious,” a third added.
“I love Judkins for that haha,” a fourth joked.
ESPN’s broadcast joked that Judkins was dealing with an “emergency” and that he was in the bathroom.
However, Judskins shared what went down in an interview with the Cleveland Browns Radio Network.
The 21-year-old revealed that he was grabbing a lemonade at the time of the Browns.
“I went and got a drink real quick,” Judkins said.
