Whether you’re upgrading or buying your first one, Black Friday is a great time to get a big discount on some of the top-rated models.
When you think about air fryers, Ninja is likely to be one of the first names to come to mind, but should you go with one of its models or look elsewhere? Well, the answer depends on what you want.
For other product categories and different products, you can keep an eye on our Black Friday live blog.
Some great deals
Ninja is well-known for its Black Friday deals, particularly as it often has special editions of its products that ship with additional accessories. It’s worth paying attention to these, as you get a big discount and a few extras as well.
For example, the Ninja Double Stack XL 9.5L Air Fryer SL400UK, which I awarded 5 stars, is currently on sale for £188 at the official Ninja store (an £81 saving). That’s good value in its own right.
However, you can also buy the Ninja Double Stack XL 2-Level Air Fryer with Smart Cook System 9.5L Cyber Space SL451UKCYD, which is also £188, and includes an apron and set of tongs. This air fryer does all of the same things as the SL400UK, but it also has a digital temperature probe for precision cooking.
I heartily recommend temperature probes, as they mark the end of dried-out food. Trust me, if you’ve ever thought your chicken was dry and tasteless, you’ll be surprised at what a difference cooking to the exact temperature makes.
Similarly, the Ninja Speedi 12-in-1 Multi-Cooker, Air Fryer & Slow Cooker – Cyber Space ON500UKCYD is a special edition of the Speedi that sits in my kitchen (I like its flexibility, and the steam air fry setting is brilliant). This one costs £149.99 (an £80 discount) from the Ninja store and also bags you an apron and set of tongs.
And, the Ninja 5-in-1 Grill & Air Fryer – Cyber Space EG351UKCYD is a special edition of the model that I reviewed. It’s a brilliantly flexible product that’s an air fryer and grill, plus it has a digital temperature sensor. This special edition costs £149.99 (a £50 discount) from the Ninja store, and comes with an apron and tongs, too.
Some deals aren’t quite as good
It’s always worth checking what’s available, as some of the deals aren’t so good. For example, the single-drawer Ninja Air Fryer PRO 4.7L – Cyber Space AF140UKCYD is a special edition product with tongs and an apron, but you only get £20 off, making it £79.99.
That’s fine if you particularly wanted this model, but if you’re just looking for the best overall deal, then the ones highlighted higher up this article are better.
Shop around
While Ninja products make up a good chunk of our list of best air fryers, it’s fair to say that its products aren’t the cheapest, and you can get cheaper products that are still very good, particularly over Black Friday.
Currently, the Instant Pot Vortex Dual Drawer 8L Air Fryer is available for just £79.99 from Amazon (down from £129.99). That’s remarkable value for a high-quality, dual-drawer air fryer.
And, there’s also premium competition. The Cosori 6L Turb Blaze Air Fryer also received a five-star review, where we praised the single-drawer model’s brilliant results and huge range of cooking programmes. We did say that it was expensive, but this Black Friday, you can buy it for £94.98 from Amazon (a £35.01 saving).
While Ninja has plenty of good deals this Black Friday, the more important thing to do is look at multiple manufacturers and then buy the best product at the best price that has the features that you need and want.
