SKY has revealed dozens of TV guide changes – including a few permanent channel closures.
The massive shake-up was revealed on Sunday by a Sky employee who shared all of the channel changes for the week ahead.
Just last week, we revealed the first two changes of 2026: the replacement of Sky Harry Potter and Jurassic Park with Sky Family HD and Action HD respectively.
Now the full list of changes running through to January 7, 2026 has been revealed, revealing a move away from Christmas and end-of-year programming.
It includes several temporary changes , including Sky Exclusives beocming Sky Sci-Fi.
But it also features several temporary changes reverting, including Sky Sports Darts switching back to SkySp F1.

In terms of closures, the following channels all closed on New Year’s Eve, but will come off the TV guide on January 6:
- MTV Music
- Club MTV
- MTV 90s
- MTV 80s
- Pop
- Tiny Pop
And these channels will close permanently on January 6:
But there are plenty more TV channel swaps to chew over.

Of course, we can expect even more changes as January progresses.
Sky only announces its channel swaps for the week ahead, so we still don’t know what’s going to happen in the mid-to-late January.
And then we can still expect a full year of channel swaps, with busy periods tied to seasonal events like Valentine’s Day, Easter, the summer holidays, and the festive season.
