Sophos has expanded the protection and security options of Taegis MDR and XDR with the integration of Sofos Endpoint in all its subscriptions. In this way, customers who have these subscriptions will be able to access combined prevention, detection and response capabilities on a single platform.
Integration occurs after the company Buy Secureworks last February, and represents a step in the combination of the tools and functions of both companies, which gives its customers more protection against cyber attacks. Functions such as Cryptaguard and Adaptive Attack Protection will be accessible directly from the Taegis interface.
With the incorporation of Sofos Endpoint in all the new and existing subscriptions of Taegis XDR and MDR, customers benefit from a reinforced defense against ransomware, as well as automatic mitigation capabilities that are activated in case of attack. This integration allows organizations to strengthen their safety while reducing licenses costs, simplifying management thanks to native integration and accelerating the response against threats with expanded mitigation actions.
Telemetry and Sophos Endpoint detections are also integrated into the Taegis platform, which allows customers to maintain their current working and response workflows. In addition, they can download, install and manage Sophos Endpoint directly from Taegis.
For its part, Taegis remains an open platform, which ensures that companies can continue to take advantage of their current cybersecurity and preserve the freedom to choose the Endpoint protection solution they prefer. In this way they release budget for other strategic security priorities.
Customers can choose between three deployment options for Endpoint protection: Sofos Endpoint, Native Native Integrations and other endpoint solutions. With the first they will have native integration for complete prevention, detection and response with a single agent.
The second provides telemetry intake for total visibility from products such as Crowdstrike, Microsoft Defender, Sentinelone and Carbon Black from Broadcom. The third provides support only through detection sensor. Sofos Endpoint is already available for all new and current customers of Taegis XDR and MDR.
Raja Patel, responsible for the product of sophoshe pointed out that «The integration of Endpoint with Taegis offers a unified protection, detection, research and response platform, while reducing customer costs. The prevention capabilities of Sofos Endpoint, such as Cryptaguard and Adaptive Attack Protection, block attackers before they can climb, which is a radical change for companies that manage thousands of devices. In addition, by simplifying the deployment and management of policies, we help organizations to anticipate threats, reduce the total property cost and maximize the return of their safety investments ».
Chris Bell, vice president of Channel, Alliances and Corporate from Sofosstressed that «This integration expands the value and flexibility we offer to clients and partners.
