At every Olympic Games, Samsung gifts each athlete a new smartphone, and someone is already selling the 2026 edition on eBay to make a profit.
The device for the 2026 Winter Olympics, hosted in Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, is a Galaxy Z Flip 7 in a shade called Olympic Blue. The phone comes with 12GB of RAM, 512GB of storage, and a unique Olympic logo design to help it stand out from other versions.
Bidding on the listing is midway through, with four days left, and two bids have pushed the price to $1,225. If you want it immediately, the listing has a Buy It Now price of $1,680.
The standard version of the Galaxy Z Flip 7 normally costs $1,099.99 in the US, but you can’t buy the Olympic version. It’s exclusive to competitors, which adds to its value.
The listing on eBay calls the phone a Galaxy Z Fold 3, which is inaccurate given the provided model number of SM-F766B. That same number is also shown in the images, and the Galaxy Z Fold 3 didn’t come in blue.

It appears there aren’t any rules preventing Olympians from selling these devices. The eBay account hosting the listing has previously sold other Olympic memorabilia, including USA-emblazoned items like a jacket, sweatshirt, and boots.
Samsung’s press release about the latest Olympic phone says, “Competing athletes will receive the Olympic Edition device purposefully designed to enrich the Games-time experience, from Olympic Village life to medal moments.” The brand first partnered with the Olympics in 1998 and has continued to produce partner devices for every version of the games.
