SPOTIFY users don’t have much longer to wait for the much-loved Wrapped feature to return.
The world’s most popular streaming service has shared an important update for fans of the annual event, which rounds-up each person’s most listened to tracks and more.
Each year Spotify Wrapped launches at a different time.
Last year, it landed on December 4 while in 2023 it appeared much earlier on November 29.
Now the Swedish-firm has opened up warning users that they should update their Spotify app now as Wrapped 2025 is “coming soon”.
Spotify teased the launch across social media to the excitement of users.

“Are you #SpotifyWrapped ready? Make sure to update your app today. Wrapped is on the way soon!” the company shared.
But Spotify has remained tight-lipped about the exact date to expect the feature to arrive.
Each year usually brings new features as well.
In 2024, Spotify added a special podcast all about you led by two AI hosts.
It’s also an opportunity to reveal the global most listened to artists, tracks and albums for the past 12 months.
Spotify Wrapped has been a fixture since 2016 – though before that it was briefly around but known as Year in Music.
Spotify Wrapped 2025: Release date theories
Spotify Wrapped has landed on very different dates each year.
It initially started in 2016 on December 6 for three years running, after which the days started changing around.
The earliest day was in 2023, when it landed on November 29.

- 2018: December 6
- 2019: December 5
- 2020: December 1
- 2021: December 1
- 2022: November 30
- 2023: November 29
- 2024: December 4
One pattern users have noticed is that the last four years Spotify Wrapped has come out on a Wednesday.
But given the very mixed history Spotify could very easily decide to change things up a bit.
So we’ll have to sit tight and see.
