STEPHEN A. Smith can’t believe the current state of the New York Knicks.
The Knicks hold one of the top seeds in the NBA, yet they can’t get over the hump against the league’s top competition.

On Friday night, the Knicks got dismantled by the Cleveland Cavaliers 142-105.
That loss dropped them to 0-6 against the three top teams in the NBA, the Cavaliers, the Boston Celtics, and the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Stephen A. is a well-known Knicks fan, and he was devastated by the loss.
“I’m depressed,” he said after the game.
“The New York Knicks got their a** kicked. Very thoroughly I mean that.
“What they have shown us, now 0-6 against the likes of Cleveland, OKC, and Boston is that they are an inferior team to the upper echelon of the NBA.
“This is not a team that is going to knock off one of those dudes in order to win a championship.”
After providing some analysis about the game, Stephen A. went back to being sad about watching his team perform poorly.
“Three hours of my life that I could never get back,” he said.
“It’s just a very, very bad, nauseating feeling right now. To be honest with you, the Knicks made me wanna throw up.”
Things haven’t gotten any better for the Knicks in the days after Stephen A’s rant.
On Sunday, the Knicks dropped to 0-7 against the three previously mentioned teams.
They suffered a 118-105 loss to the Celtics in Boston.
The Knicks have three more games against Boston and Cleveland this year and will have to make some better shots to avoid going 0-10 against those teams.
Knicks fans are in agreement with Stephen A. about their team and shared their woes on social media.
New rights deal
The NBA signed an 11-year deal with three networks for the league’s rights from the 2025-26 season.
And there will be no games on TNT for the first time since the network launched in 1988.
The Walt Disney Company will continue to show the league with 80 regular-season games across ESPN and ABC.
They will also show around 18 playoff games from the first and second round, a Conference Finals series for 10 of the 11 years, and remain the home of the NBA Finals.
NBC will return as an NBA broadcaster for the first time since 2002.
The network will show up to 100 games per season across it’s channels and Peacock streaming service.
It will also be the home of NBA All-Star and show approximately 28 playoff games from the first and second round.
NBC will show one Conference Finals Series for six of the 11 years, rotating with new broadcaster Amazon Prime.
Amazon will show 66 NBA regular-season games including one on Black Friday.
The streaming service is also the home of the latter stages of the NBA Cup and the entire Play-In Tournament.
Prime will also broadcast around one third of the playoff games in the first and second round.
“The Knicks prove twice in three days there is a MASSIVE gap between 1-2 and 3 in the East,” one fan said.
“Knicks need to rebuild lmao they ain’t doin nothing,” another fan said.
“Dump the coach and fix the depth issues the team has. That is what is hurting them the most,” a third fan said.
“Difference between good teams and great teams,” a fourth fan said.
“Knicks are frauds,” a fifth fan said.
