The Handmaid’s Tale
We no longer present this feminist dystopia, cardboard in bookstores and which Hulu takes up in 2017. Under the leadership of Tim Miller, this adaptation of the Scarlet servant De Margaret Atwood is soon to be illustrated among the most popular series of the moment. The story follows Defred, a young woman guarded captivated by a political-religious sect having taken control of the United States.
In the near future, pollution and sexually transmitted diseases have heavily affected the birth rate. The totalitarian regime organized the company in caste, entrusted all freedoms to men and forced women to enslave. Defred is a scarlet servanta woman entrusted to the (good?) Care of a tall -row couple and whose only goal is to give birth to a child. Each month, during a religious ceremony, she is raped by the master of the house.

Why should we absolutely look at?
In form as in substance, The Handmaid’s Tale is a wonder of the small screen. Hulu production does not only benefit from a high -flying staging, it multiplies the narrative shots. As rarely on television, this anticipation fresco has a fatalistic look and hoped for a hypothetical future where women’s freedom to have their bodies is only a utopia. Freezing at every moment, captivating and above all beautifully embodied, The Handmaid’s Tale is of those series that do not leave unharmed spectators. Season 6 arrives, you have no more excuses and shortly to catch up with the walking train. You can see or review The Handmaid’s Tale South Prime Video.
The Leftovers
In a few series, Damon Lindelof has forged a solid reputation in the television industry. The co-creator of Lost surprised his world in 2014 with a completely singular series. If it is less famous than its elder, The Leftovers is undoubtedly one of the best series never born under the leadership of HBO (and it is a hell of compliment). Its introduction is total control, a television moment that you are not ready to forget.
During day, 2% of the world’s population disappears from the surface of the earth. These people, from all horizons, leave their families, friends and loved ones in unimaginable pain. Three years later, life resumed its course in a small town near New York but the approach of the anniversary of this great disappearance puts the police on alert. Local police chief Kevin Garvey is preparing for the worst, while a sect intends to invite themselves alongside the participants in these commemorations.
Why should we absolutely look at?
Few series marked us as did The Leftovers. If the series adopting a captivating starting point without ever giving it consistency, the creation of Damon Lindelof has been able to take advantage of his subject to deploy a number of moving, fascinating intrigue and take a raw but sincere look at human relations. The metaphysical series confronts humans with mourning in all possible ways and with rare sensitivity. Special mention for the Grand Final, masterful in its simplicity. The Leftovers is available on Max and Canal+ in France.
The forest of the strange
The forest of the strangeor Over the Garden Wall In the original version, is from those animated series that the public is too easily dismissed because of its childish appearance.
