CES 2025 is in full swing, and HP is showing off a ton of new gaming gear, including PCs, mice, and gaming monitors. The devil’s in the details, and HP has plenty of new Omen models with more than meets the eye, including a “world’s first.”
HP stopped by New York City in December ahead of the big event in Las Vegas and invited us to take a closer look at its 2025 Omen lineup, including the streamer-friendly Omen 32x Smart Gaming Monitor, which starts at $749. Here’s what we learned.
HP Omen 32x Smart Gaming Monitor: A Streamer’s Dream
We’ve seen smart gaming monitors before—Samsung, for example, has injected much of its own smart TV tech into premium displays like the Samsung Odyssey OLED G8. But this is HP’s first smart gaming monitor, built on the Google TV platform.
The 32-inch 144Hz 4K UHD monitor supports cloud gaming and native streaming, but the feature that will surely catch your eye is the ability to stream to up to four platforms while you play. So you can stream to Twitch, YouTube, and even Instagram while gaming simultaneously—without any external hardware or software. The Omen 32x can even manage two webcams streaming simultaneously.
This enables you to stream without taxing your computer with additional resource load and opens up possibilities for content creators who may not have a PC capable enough to meet all their streaming needs. The monitor also includes an Ethernet port, which can handle up to 100Mbps of data for the Google TV OS, and a built-in KVM to let you control your keyboard and mouse across multiple devices. The Omen 32x also boasts features like Android desktop and multi-view modes.
The 100Mbps limit did pique our interest since 1Gbps is now the de facto standard for Ethernet ports, but HP says streaming to four platforms simultaneously at 1080p will only need roughly 25 to 30Mbps.
At our briefing, we got a short demo of Forza Horizon 5 streaming from the Xbox GamePass to a private YouTube channel, which was pulled up on a nearby device. While the stream was delayed a few seconds behind the real-time action, we noticed no lag, at least in our short time with it. It remains to be seen if that’ll be the case when streaming to more than one platform.
The Devil You Know, Refreshed
In addition to its flagship offerings, the Omen brand also includes quality monitors for affordable prices (or at least, as affordable as gaming monitors can be these days). To that end, HP is refreshing its existing mainstream gaming monitor lineup.

The most important introduction is the HP Omen 27qs G2. This 27-inch monitor is a world’s first, according to HP–the very first QHD (2,560-by-1,440-pixel) IPS Black gaming monitor. IPS Black, a display technology only a few years old, is an enhanced IPS technology that minimizes light leakage to improve black levels and contrast ratios. Paired with VesaHDR 400 certification, factory color calibration, and a 2,000:1 contrast ratio, the Omen 27qs G2 promises a rich color palette across all your games.

The HP Omen 27 G2 and HP Omen 27q G2, HP’s FHD (1,920-by-1,080-pixel) and QHD (2,560-by-1,440-pixel) 27-inch monitors enjoy more minor refreshes, including panel refresh rate bumps to 180Hz, as well as factory color calibration. Meanwhile, the HP Omen 34c G2 is HP’s curved option, offering a 3,440-by-1,440-pixel resolution at 180Hz. The ultrawide monitor is also factory color calibrated and curves at 1500R (which means a circle of the monitors placed edge to edge would have a 1,500mm radius). New additions include a contrast ratio bump to 4,000:1 and VesaHDR 400 certification.
The latest and greatest HP Omen monitors are sure to impress once they arrive later this year. The HP Omen 27q G2, Omen 34c G2, and Omen 32x Smart Gaming Monitor will arrive in April for $299, $479, and $749, respectively. The HP Omen 27 G2 will arrive in May for $249, and the Omen 27qs will become available this June for $449.
