NetSuite has just presented during its annual meeting SuiteWorld 2025, what is being celebrated in Las Vegas, the latest version of its Oracle Netsuite Next business management solution. NetSuite is part of Oracle and offers a modular cloud-based management solution, primarily aimed at small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs). Its portfolio of products and services ranges from accounting management, financial administration, customer relationship management (CRM), inventory and operations management (ERP), or HR supervision, to payroll management, purchasing processes, project management and e-commerce software. Founded in 1998 by Evan Goldberg, its current headquarters is in Austin, Texas, and is recognized as the first cloud computing software company, launched even before Salesforce and which introduced the concept of software that could be purchased online.
SuiteWorld es the annual conference organized by Oracle NetSuite for its customers, partners and developers. It is the largest meeting of the year for the NetSuite community, offering attendees the opportunity to learn about product announcements, best practices and new technologies.
NetSuite has presented at this event the next generation of Oracle NetSuite Next, its cloud ERP platformdesigned to radically transform the way companies use artificial intelligence (AI) in their daily operations. This new version is characterized by being collaborative, insightful, adaptable and highly reliable, integrating practical and powerful AI capabilities that include integrated conversational intelligence, agentic workflows and natural language search. Its purpose is to free companies from repetitive and complex tasks, accelerating their results and improving intuition and confidence in business management.
According to Evan Goldberg, founder and executive vice president of Oracle NetSuite, Oracle NetSuite Next puts AI at the service of companiesmaking it a natural extension of their usual ways of working. The platform can provide valuable information and perform repetitive and complex tasks autonomously, always maintaining the reliability and security that companies demand. All data and actions are based on solid information, governed by the roles, permissions and custom policies that customers use, ensuring a secure and properly governed environment.
Additionally, Oracle NetSuite Next offers the ability to detect business patterns and allows users to communicate with the system using natural language, understanding the individual context of each user and generating responses and actions with immediate value. Its founder has defined this launch as «the biggest announcement we have made in the history of NetSuite. It is the next generation in interaction. And it is completely based on AI ».
Ask the oracle
The heart of the NetSuite Next user experience is Ask Oracle, an intelligent assistant that works in natural language. This assistant allows you to search for information in NetSuite using AI, customizing responses based on the user’s role and promising to make the experience more natural and simple, similar to interacting directly with a consumer application.
Ask Oracle offers highly contextualized answers, clear visualizations, interactive content, and detailed explanations that show the “how” and “why” of each result. This facilitates collaboration between the user and the platform, while driving a deeper understanding of the data. Additionally, Ask Oracle supports customizations and extensions built on the SuiteCloud platform, including SuiteCloud Developer Network partner applications, offering a consistent and seamless experience across the suite.
Each user will decide when to update, and it will be transparent
One of the great benefits of Oracle NetSuite Next is that customers can activate this new experience with the push of a button, without needing to perform complex migration processes or worry about disrupting existing customizations. NetSuite Next is not a new system, represents an activatable extension of Oracle NetSuite, not a standalone product nor does it require complex migrationspreserving the intuitive design of the Redwood Design System architecture and making it easy to adopt advanced features.
A solid foundation
The platform is powered by Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) and is based on the data and controls that each client already has, combining a unified data model with explainable and auditable AI. In addition, being based on Redwood, it has an intuitive and easy-to-use design. This advanced technology foundation makes Oracle NetSuite Next a natural extension of existing business operations, ensuring every analysis and action is reliable. The platform also helps identify opportunities and risks before they materialize, understands the roles and context of each user, and manages complex tasks without losing control or transparency.
NetSuite Next incorporates several key functionalities that enhance its value for business users. Among them stands out AI Canvas, a collaborative workspace integrated directly into NetSuitewhere teams can turn data into concrete actions, analyze complex problems, ideate creative solutions, and activate intelligent workflows from an intuitive visual environment. This tool avoids the need to program directly and allows artificial intelligence to drive decision making and agile process execution.
NetSuite and Oracle NetSuite Next store all of a company’s information on Oracle’s robust infrastructure, and they have worked hard to refine their data models to make it easier for AI to access them optimally. Asked about this, Brian Chess, SVP Technology & AI, told us that «Data resides in Oracle databases, controlled with access levels and user roles and protected. On top of that, we have created an AI that converts user requests into requests to the database but always respecting the limitations and access level of each user. That is, the AI does not have all the data and therefore could filter it, AI is an improved way to access the same data that each user could access. In fact, we usually activate an option so that the AI only accesses the database in read mode, so that it cannot modify anything.
AI-based features to do the most with the least effort
Another notable element is the narrative summaries and insights that Oracle NetSuite Next generates automatically. These are available on forms, reports and other pages in the suite, and their function is to highlight correlations, trends and patterns that can help users detect opportunities or risks before they negatively impact business. Providing clear explanation and understandable narratives facilitates better data-driven decision making.
Besides, The platform incorporates intelligent workflows, which are automated processes powered by AI. These flows streamline complex and repetitive tasks, facilitating the automation of tasks such as payment proposals, supplier selection and logistics operations, in addition to integrating documents searchable by AI. Users have the flexibility to approve key decisions or allow the system to execute tasks autonomously under predefined rules, thus increasing operational efficiency without losing control.
The integration of documentation and knowledge is another strong point, since Oracle NetSuite Next uses advanced language models capable of extracting and validating information from multiple heterogeneous sources, such as invoices, contracts, receipts, manuals, guides, testimonials or orders. This significantly reduces the manual work required to process documents, while improving the accuracy and richness of the analyzes performed by the platform. SuiteCloud offers tools to create custom AI agents, integrate external AI models, and design your own workflows. Innovations such as AI Connector Service, AI Toolkits, SuiteAgents and AI Studios are also added, customizable to each sector and specific regulations of each client.
In summary, Oracle NetSuite Next represents a significant advance that not only modernizes technology but rethinks the philosophy of ERP, putting artificial intelligence at the center of business management and facilitating human interaction with technology through natural language and intelligent capabilities. With this evolution, Oracle NetSuite seeks to enable its customers to accelerate their processes, discover new insights and manage their operations with greater security and control, all without the usual complications of migration or complex technical adaptations.
Currently, Oracle NetSuite Next will initially be available to customers in North America over the next 12 months, with plans for global expansion in the near future. When asked by the press about that deadline, which for some features was extended to “in the next 12 to 18 months,” Gary Wiessinger, SVP NetSuite Application Development at Oracle NetSuite stated that “we are defining the cutting-edge technology for the industry and it will be ready very soon, but not before.”
Along the same lines, Brian Chess, SVP Technology & AI, added that «Our commitment is not to technology for technology’s sake, but to respond to customer needs. And those needs are not changing at the same pace as constant advances in AI. They are more stable. And those are the ones we want to give the best possible response to.”
