Disney+ is getting a head start and delivering an early Christmas gift to its subscribers. On social networks, the American platform formalizes the return of the iconic series Malcolm. Through a video, which shows the screams addressed to the teenager by his parents Lois and Hal, Frankie Muniz, Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek do not fail to share their enthusiasm at the idea of finding the characters 18 years after the finale. It must be said that as for the spectators, the creation of Linwood Boomer marked their lives in many ways.
This new version will not be designed to last. For spectators, it will be a question of finding part of the family for an adventure in four episodes. For now, only the presence of the three actors has been confirmed. Nothing says that the interpreters of Reese, Dewey and Francis will also return for one last lap. What we do know, however, is that it will be a matter of immortalizing Malcolm while he is himself faced with the challenges of parenthood.

Malcolm and his daughter must go to Hal and Lois’s house for a very special event. The couple celebrates their 40th wedding anniversary and cannot see themselves celebrating this moment without their son and his offspring. In such a context, it is difficult to imagine that the hero’s brothers ignore each other. The Disney+ teams will undoubtedly have found the arguments to convince them to come back. Otherwise, their absence may be felt. We already know that the creator of the series will once again be at the helm, which is something to be happy about.
Malcolm is one of the many series from the 2000s to give in to the call of nostalgia. That’s 70’s show or even Sex and the Cityplatforms do not hesitate to draw on their past successes to attract subscribers. If the result rarely meets the public’s expectations, we can hope that the reduced duration of this vintage does not give the screenwriters time to get bored. Perhaps over the years the series has not lost its sense of humor as much as its cynicism.
