A TARGET shopper was left fuming after a self-checkout ordeal led to waiting in lines “eight deep”.
The customer vented their anger about the state of Target’s self-checkouts – adding that he couldn’t keep his “mouth shut” over the issue.

The highly-frustrated shopper took to social media to vent about the store experience.
They wrote on X: “My attitude about self-checkout is pure hatred these days.
“I went into a Target and the line was like eight deep, only one human cashier at another register.
“I couldn’t keep my mouth shut, [I don’t care] anymore, I was like ‘Hire some f*****g people’ to some manager who has no power at all.”
Targets checkout systems have been a subject of debate recently, with the customer’s outburst demonstrates how frustrated they are with the company.
Last month, another shopper blasted the chain’s payment department on social media.
The customer was so furious that she abandoned her full basket in store.
She turned to the self-checkout machines and customer service desk – and was met with long lines.
Lisha claimed the self-checkout lines were “pouring into the aisle.”
She was mystified that there were only two lines open and said she’d order from retailers such as Amazon instead next time.

“Do better!” Lisha told Target bosses.
The self-checkouts were again in the firing line when a mom lashed out at Target after her daughter was unable to pay for her items using the self-checkout – even though she was carrying cash.
The parent was bewildered that certain machines at the store, located in Charleston, a borough of Staten Island, New York, don’t accept dollar bills.
The mom-of-two was puzzled why the rule seemed to be in place.
She explained that her teenage child doesn’t have a card, but said she should still be able to use the self-service machines.
A Target spokesperson responded to her fury and explained some machines don’t accept cash.
But the mom wasn’t done there, and she proposed a policy.
She said: “Maybe you should make it mandatory for at least one register in each store to accept cash as a policy.”
The Target representative thanked the customer for her suggestion and vowed to share her feedback with the relevant teams.
“Thanks for helping us make this store even better and have an awesome day!” they said, rounding off the message.
