TRUMP and WIN
It is GMT+3 here so I get American Sunday News on Monday.
As I write this, It is 7am on Monday 20th .
I woke up to NEWS.
President Donald Trump, while awaiting his much-anticipated inauguration ceremony, is smiling from win after win on his side quests.
First — he launched a brand new meme coin, $TRUMP, that amassed a record-breaking $5 billion valuation in 3 days. With the price hitting $269 on Solana.
If any crypto degens really 200xd their wealth, you bet, their YouTube video of their mad skills will be at your door very soon.
Second — Trump requested TikTok to re-activate its services for American users. After all, he will officially be US President in a few hours.
No need to hurry a Supreme Court ruling made in the Biden Administration.
And what do you know, they also thanked him.
If Trump is looking for more fans from America’s younger population, this just secured some.
Isn’t $TRUMP rocketing up again? Let me check.
Though I hope he won’t have to fight $MELANIA.
It is stealing his show as I type this.
ZUCK and LOSE
Mark Zuckerberg, founder of the first social media site to garner 1 billion users, and still the largest social media site – Facebook – is still unluckily the target of social media frustrations.
He is so good at social media he seems like a villain.
After TikTok refugees saw their beloved social media site banned in the United States, they took their anger at Zuckerberg.
“Why do you ruin everything you touch,” one Instagram user wrote.
“Btw tik tok is a better app. Reels will never be tik tok, reels only exist cus of tik tok. You stole stories from snap chat and you made threads cus of twitter,” another wrote.
“You are hated by 170 million people,” wrote yet another.

The issue is this – Facebook sells your data to third parties (they say they only allow third parties to use your data for targeted advertising, but its the same thing imo),
why shouldn’t TikTok?
Because TikTok sells to CCP aligned parties.
Oops.
I see how that is a worry for the US government.
Surveillance and Social Media
The question of social media sites selling user data means they want money. If they didn’t want money, they’d say they never sell data which would attract them a lot more followers (and less hate, for Zuckerberg’s case).
But while following the money, we never ask what type of money.
US dollars.
You know my opinion on them.
We also never ask who is buying.
Is it an agricultural startup in your local neighborhood. No. It is still that big international conglomerate you, a Facebooker, keep going back to.
Cus they have flashy branded clothes, lip gloss, makeup, pink phones with 3 cameras.
TikTok on the other hand, is seemingly selling our data to CCP companies who … hope to find a way to sell ya’ll their next smartphone from China.
To compete with Apple iphones.
You had some bad idea in mind, right? You poor thing.
You hate communism too much for nothing. Communism in China is for Chinese. Chinese have no interest selling your their communism. With you, its capitalism.
Buy, Sell, Compete fairly.
Pure and simple.
***
Not simple, sorry.
Compete unfairly also happens.
They might be planning to anticipate your next moves, so that they can one-up you on the jaw.
This is the trickier part. The part that makes people chant MAGA or 加油.
They don’t want to think things through, they want to chant.
And I agree with both sides’ fears.
China once saw a Huawei ban from allegations of spying on Americans.
And we all know that Google doesn’t operate in China. Because it once spied on Chinese.

Bitcoin fixes TikTok
As I mentioned, the problems are the money and the spying.
I cannot say I have a solution to the spying. Two superpower countries are going to keep trying to spy on each other. Because.
But if we fix the money, we fix the world.
To start, allow me tell you what Bitcoin sells to the world every ten minutes.
Bitcoin sells Sousveillance.
Definitions:
Surveillance – To watch from above.
Sousveillance – To watch from below.
Captured in the catchy phrase – Tik Tock, Next Block , Bitcoinmines a block every ten minutes that anybody can look at and verify.
Money is flowing to a shady surveillance deal involving your data?
You won’t see it directly in the transaction history of the block. But it is there in the pseudonyms and if you follow the official trail, you will soon see the connections if it ever goes through Bitcoin.
This is how Ross Ulbricht was nabbed.
President Trump’s first executive decision might be to pardon Ross. And I say it is deserved. He was experimenting with Bitcoin. And he was arrested and robbed of his coins.
Coins now worth billions and billions.
Though, if I was him, I wouldn’t restart Silk Road.
He really shouldn’t do that.
***
But also, this isn’t one-off sousveillance.
This is sousveillance forever.
Ross Ulbricht’s stolen bitcoins can still be tracked.
And lamented.
(If there is any business opportunity I see for Mr. Ross, it is an official tracker of his infamous coins.
He could buy some back, and bump their ‘rarity score’ and some other things, then sell. The equivalent of selling Bitcoin as a meme coin).
Anyway,
China spies on the US, US spies on China, and if there is a bitcoin money trail, the citizens of each country will watch it.
And rewatch it, and debate it and piece not just facts but motivation, truth, intent, nuance, over years.
Exchanges which will shape social media companies for the better.
Bitcoin Will fix TikTok. Not only for today, but for tomorrow as well.
However, as things stand, money trails on the dollar standard disappear into thin air. So much for trusting paper.
