A recent report from a Tesla software update tracker has hinted at a number of features that are expected to be rolled out to the company’s vehicles. These features include displays for construction areas, predictive text for navigation, and tire service notifications on the Tesla mobile app, among others.
One of the best things about Teslas is their capability to receive new features even after they have already been bought. And for the most part, these improvements are completely free of charge and downloaded through a simple over-the-air software update. As per Tesla software tracker Not a Tesla App, update 2024.32 has been rolled out to company employees, and it includes a number of interesting new functions.
Among the most notable is Construction on Your Route, which displays the location of construction areas on the display. This gives drivers a better idea of which areas to avoid, and it also gives them additional context about the route that their Tesla’s navigation system is following. Such a feature would be very useful in cities, where road work and construction projects tend to be common or even unannounced.

The 2024.32 update will reportedly also include Predictive Text for Navigation Searches, which should save drivers time when they are typing in a destination on their vehicle. The 2024.32 update’s Search This Area feature, for its part, would allow drivers to search for something specific if they drag the map to a different location.
Particularly useful in the 2024.32 update is Mobile App Notifications – Tire Service, which informs drivers if their vehicle’s tires are due for a rotation or replacement. As per Not a Tesla App, drivers could set a mileage-based reminder for the feature’s mobile app alerts. This should be quite useful for new EV drivers, as electric vehicles tend to wear out tires a bit differently compared to traditional combustion-powered cars.

Tesla’s update 2024.32 is reportedly still being tested with Wave 1 employees, though if there are no issues with the software, it would not be surprising if the update gets rolled out to consumers soon. Considering the nature of the new features in the 2024.32 update, functions like the Construction on Your Route may also be region-specific.
