SKY Q customers have seen more than a dozen channel changes on their boxes this month – and that includes some unfortunate closures too.
The electronic programme guide is regularly overhauled to reflect the ever-evolving broadcast landscape.

This includes new launches, rebrands and dreaded closures.
Fortunately, the vast majority over March are rebranded channels – but there are two permanent closures to be aware of.
Most of the new-look channels affect Sky Q customers who subscribe to Sky Cinema.
SKY Q CHANNEL CHANGES
These movie channels often receive a face lift to reflect special events and themes.
At the start of the month, Sky Cinema Fast, Sky Cinema Assassins and Sky Cinema Family disappeared.
Sky Cinema Fast became Sky Cinema Martial Arts on 307/851 – but only temporarily, on March 10 it reverted to its usual name Sky Cinema Action.
Sky Assassins switched back to its usual name too on March 3, Sky Cinema Thriller, at channel number 309.
And Sky Cinema Family became Sky Cinema Books at channel number 306/850.
A day later, Sky Cinema Award Winners renamed to Sky Cinema Women in Film on channel number 304/849 – but only for a few days, by March 10 it switched to Sky Cinema Classics, before changing again on March 21 to Sky Cinema Greats.
On March 8, Sky Cinema Ultimate Action at 302 became Sky Cinema Originals temporarily, then on March 21 it transformed into Sky Cinema Book To Screen.
Sky Cinema Men In Black burst onto screens for a limited time on March 21 and went back to being Sky Cinema Action two days later.
Then on March 24, Sky Cinema Thriller on channel number 309 rebranded as Sky Cinema Gangsters.
Aside from Sky Cinema, there were three other noteworthy channel changes this month.
Channel 5 rebranded as the simple numerical 5, meaning the main channel as well as Channel 5 HD and Channel 5 +1 were updated.
They’re now known as 5, 5 HD and 5 +1 in their existing slots.
SKY Q CHANNEL CLOSURES
Two channels sadly left Sky Q boxes in March.
However, most of the content on them can still be watched elsewhere.
Sky History +1 SD and Sky History 2 HD were removed from satellite.
They show a number of popular programmes including UnXplained with William Shatner and docu-drama Washington.
It means viewers will no longer be able to catch anything they missed an hour later on Sky History +1 SD, via channel number 223.
But the main Sky History channel will still continue to broadcast as normal – and you can find content on-demand too.
Sky History 2 HD’s loss means viewers will only be able to access the channel in SD (standard definition) from now on.
SKY Q CHANNEL LAUNCHES
There was one channel launch on Sky Q this month too.
Panjab TV landed on channel number 770.
