The headquarters of Hewlett Packard Enterprise In Las Rozas it has been the scene of the grand final of the HPE CDS Tech Challengea contest that, in its fourth edition, has shown to consolidate as one of the main entrance doors to the labor market for young technological talents in Spain.
For six months, More than 325 students coming from 26 universities and professional training centers They worked on projects aimed at solving challenges with real impact. The competition culminated this weekend with an intensive hackathon of 25 hours, in which the finalist teams developed technological solutions focused on this year’s motto: «HPE GreenLake Data Edition». The focus was put in the power of data and artificial intelligence as levers to revitalize territories, improve business efficiency and transform public services.
The winning team, PixelPixiescomposed of Three students of the Degree in Science and Data Engineering of the University Da Coruñapresented an intelligent urban management platform that integrates data from sensors, events and environment in real time. Its solution not only improves decision -making in cities, but does it through an intuitive interface and a multimodal chatbot based on the Microsoft bitnet model, also highlighting for its approach to energy sustainability.
The victory of this full feminine team not only values emerging talent, but also reinforces HPE’s commitment to the diversity and promotion of Steam vocations among women. This competition is much more than a technological challenge, it is a direct bridge between young talent and the professional world. Year after year, initiatives such as the HPE CDS Tech Challenge have a real impact on employability and digital ecosystem.
In this fourth edition, the other four finalist teams have represented the University of Deustothe University of Castilla-La Manchathe Francisco de Vitoria University (Madrid) and the Loyola University (Sevilla).
Since its launch in 2021, the HPE CDS Tech Challenge has involved more than 1,000 students and has a remarkable incorporation rate to the company: one in five finalists raises adding HPE through practices or contracts. This year, all finalist teams can also opt for this work opportunity.
