Chinese robotics firm UBTECH Robotics has secured a RMB 126 million ($17.3 million) contract for the “Embodied Intelligence Data Collection and Testing Center Equipment Procurement and Installation” project in Guangxi province, China. The order centers on UBTECH’s latest humanoid robot Walker S2, which features full autonomy and battery-swapping capabilities. Delivery is expected to be completed by the end of the year, the company said. The deal follows UBTECH’s RMB 250 million ($34 million) order in September, the company’s largest single purchase of humanoid robots to date. With this latest order, 2025 orders for UBTECH’s Walker series robots have surpassed RMB 630 million ($86 million), highlighting the company’s accelerating commercialization momentum.
