WatchGuard Technologies, has just announced the appointment of Alvaro García Abarrio as new country manager for the Iberia region.
With an outstanding track record in the technology sector, he brings more than 20 years of cybersecurity and channel experience that will reinforce and accelerate WatchGuard’s mission to become the cybersecurity platform of choice for managed service providers (MSPs) in the Iberian Peninsula. In this position, Álvaro García Abarrio will be responsible for leading the company’s strategic growth initiatives in Iberia.

Álvaro García Abarrio comes from Trellixwhere he was responsible for operations in Spain, the Middle East, Turkey and the Nordic Countries, and where he managed sales, marketing and business development strategies, in addition to driving important digital transformation initiatives in various markets and sectors. He has also worked for multinationals such as McAfee and has developed an outstanding career at Telefónica, where he held positions of responsibility and leadership. A hallmark of his career is his focus on customer satisfaction and his ability to lead and work with a broad ecosystem of partners and channels.
