New year, new Netflix. The biggest streaming service starts 2026 with a bang, bringing back fan-favorite Bridgerton along with new movies, series, and live events. We’ve gone through the month’s debuting content, watched the trailers, read the reviews, and picked out the must-see material, along with a complete listing of everything coming. Here’s our guide to the hottest new series and movies on the streaming service in January.
His & Hers (Jan. 8)
Adapted from an Alice Feeney novel, His & Hers stars Tessa Thompson and Jon Bernthal as an estranged couple. He’s a detective, she’s a news anchor, and when somebody’s murdered in her hometown, they both try to unravel the mystery, only to each become one of the suspects. One of them isn’t telling the truth, but the show is very cagey about who.

The Rip (Jan. 16)
Ben Affleck and Matt Damon co-star in this new flick from Joe Carnahan. They play Miami cops who find millions of dollars in cash inside a stash house during a raid and have to count it all before leaving the scene in order to make sure it’s not misplaced. But when word gets out that the money is there, suddenly everybody’s a suspect and time starts to run short. Looks like a lot of fun.
Bridgerton: Season 4 (Jan. 29)
One of the most consistently popular Netflix originals returns for a fourth season. If you haven’t hopped aboard the Bridgerton train, you might not have a woman in your life, but here’s the CliffsNotes: set in an alternate-universe 19th-century London where people of color are in the aristocracy, the eight Bridgerton siblings navigate their own entanglements in love, war, and business. It’s juicy, melodramatic fun.
