Published in 2014, the first installment of the series Monument Valley immediately captivated many mobile gamers. It is a puzzle game, featuring Princess Ida in a setting composed of buildings with quite particular geometric shapes. The player’s goal is therefore to progress in this world, with an isometric perspectivein order to reach the end of each level.
After two successful opuses (the sequel having been released in 2017), a third episode comes to reveal oneself during the Geeked Week event, where Netflix presented new information about Monument Valley 3.

Monument Valley 3 will arrive directly in the Netflix Games catalog (and exclusively). The latter is expected for December 10th. If you haven’t played the first two games yet, you should know that Monument Valley just joined the catalog and that his sequel, Monument Valley 2 will be available from October 29. The perfect opportunity to get you into the swing of things before this third episode.
Monument Valley 3 looks like the opus of change. While the latter builds on its predecessors in terms of gameplay, art style, and story, it will offer new aspects with in particular the introduction of navigation. It will now be possible to use your sailboat to move around in the levels. So, “The game is no longer limited to geometric spaces” as Jennifer Estaris, the game’s director, points out.
Of course, these changes will allow us to offer new puzzlesto offer even more diversity in the levels and avoid this redundant side and this impression of déjà vu. Although the DA (artistic direction) remains globally the same, the Ustwo studio has brought some changes to the art style with softer and more abstract shapes. To add a little emotion, The game’s soundtrack was recorded by an 18-piece orchestrawhich promises us an epic journey.
And Monument Valley focused on “forgiveness” and that its sequel in 2017 addressed “coming of age”this third opus will offer us different themes with “hope, solidarity and resilience”. In this new title, we will play as Noor, an apprentice lighthouse keeper whose mission is to find a new source of energy before light disappears from the world forever.
Know that the stories of the games Monument Valley do not follow each other and are completely autonomouswhich allows you to play the games in any order you want, and even start with Monument Valley 3 if you haven’t had time to do the previous two games.
