For the first time, fully AI-generated song additions have exceeded 50% of the total daily new music on Deezer. This colossal volume, reaching an average of 90,000 titles per day, reveals exponential growth, while this content represented only 10% of additions in January 2025.
How widespread is the phenomenon?
Despite this massive upload volume, AI-generated music only represents a tiny portion of total listening on the platform, oscillating between 1 and 3%.
This low share is explained by Deezer’s proactive measures, which automatically excludes this content from algorithmic recommendations and editorial playlists.
However, the problem lies in the intention behind these millions of uploads. An analysis of the platform revealed that up to 85% of plays on AI tracks were fraude au streaming in 2025.
These manipulations, often orchestrated by bot farms, aim to generate illegitimate income to the detriment of real artists.
Deezer takes new measures accordingly
A pioneer in this fight, Deezer has developed its own AI detection tool, the accuracy of which reaches 99.8%. The platform then explicitly labeled the content from generative AI.
Coming soon, Deezer now indicates that AI-generated titles used for streaming fraud will be systematically deleted. The same will apply to AI-generated titles that have not been listened to for at least six months.
