Mozilla has kicked off the stable version stamped 153 from the browser Firefox. One feature is particularly highlighted for enhanced protection. These are containers, even if advanced users will have a sense of déjà vu.
What is container functionality?
Known via the Multi-Account Containers extension, container management is now native for Firefox and enabled by default.
This option allows you toisolate different sessions within the same window. For example, it is possible to dedicate one container to work, another to online shopping and a third to personal browsing. Each container has its own cookie jar, preventing tracking between different activities.
A user can create containers in addition to those already offered, personalize them (name, color, icon) and organize them from the Firefox settings (about:preferences#containers), or open them quickly via a right click on the tab.
This is still a Preview. Users of the Multi-Account Containers extension can keep it, knowing that not all of its features are yet natively integrated into Firefox.
HDR videos on Windows
With version 153, Firefox closes a gap compared to other browsers by supporting the reading of HDR videos (High Dynamic Range) sur Windows.

Mozilla highlights compatibility with video streams and files using the BT.2100 HLG and BT.2100 PQ (HDR10) color spaces.
Other additions for Firefox
Firefox 153 introduces other handy tools. There PDF viewer The integrated feature is enhanced and allows you to merge several PDF documents by dragging and dropping in the sidebar. Images or new pages can be added to a PDF.
A color pipette appears. It is offered by typing “Choose a color” in the address bar, and allows you to retrieve the hexadecimal color code of an element displayed on the screen.
Any page open in the browser can be shared using a QR code which is accessible by right-clicking on the tab (Share, then Generate QR code).
