Against all expectations, the German brand offers an alternative solution, lighter and more flexible: the pack Good-Night. This is an official accessory kit which allows you to spend the night on board without affecting the daily use of the vehicle.
What exactly is this “Good-Night” pack?
This kit is designed above all for casual camping. It includes a foldable bed base with a tailor-made mattress measuring two meters long by 1.20 meters wide, blackout curtains for all windows, as well as ventilation grilles to install on the ajar front windows. The set is completed by practical accessories for outdoor life, namely a table and two folding chairs.

The approach is resolutely minimalist and flexible. Unlike a California, there is no kitchenette, no permanent furniture, or even a pop-up roof. The great advantage of this simplicity is that all the equipment can be stored cleverly in the trunk. The ID. What advantages does electric motorization bring?
It is on this point that the ID. Buzz clearly stands out from converted thermal vans. Thanks to its traction battery, the vehicle can power the air conditioning or heating for almost 48 hours via the new “Overnight” mode. This function maintains a constant temperature in the passenger compartment, ensuring comfortable nightswhether during a heatwave or in cool weather. The interior lighting has also been adapted to create a softer atmosphere and relaxing.

The other major advantage is the fonction V2L (Vehicle-to-Load). It literally transforms the ID. Buzz into a mobile energy source, capable of supplying 230V current with a power of up to 2,000 watts. The Good-Night pack is already marketed in Germany at the price of 2 600 €. Its distribution is planned in other European countries, such as Belgium, but its direct marketing in France as an accessory is not yet confirmed. According to available information, Volkswagen France would instead consider integrating it as standard in a future special series of the ID. Buzz.
