The £13m refurbishment works on King’s House in Manchester City Centre to turn it into a modern working environment for innovative businesses have come to an end.
The renovation project, led by property platform Bruntwood SciTech with the support of Bruntwood, L&G, and Greater Manchester Pension Fund, has generated 36,000 sq ft of modern office space designed for teams of between 10 and 60 people. It’s located in Manchester’s St Mary’s Parsonage district.
One of the biggest suites, described as a “standout” and “rare opportunity” by Bruntwood SciTech, is targeted at firms that want to create a large working environment customised to their specific requirements.
Another highlight space is situated on the ground floor of the building. Totalling 2,789 sq ft, the suite features a dedicated entrance that provides a private working environment for teams of up to 30 people.
For businesses that don’t have the time or funds for creating an office space from scratch, they can choose from a range of suites that already come with furniture as well as amenities such as kitchens, meeting rooms, phone booths, breakout areas and power supplies.
Other facilities include a ground-floor lounge area and breakout spaces, a fourth-floor communal lounge called The Loft, cycle storage, a gym, showers and a towel service. Along with these modern amenities, the building retains heritage detailing like beams and terrazzo flooring. It’s also net-zero. All this will be shown off at an open day on September 18th.
Josh Hancock, associate commercial director at Bruntwood SciTech, said: “We’ve taken one of Manchester’s most characterful buildings and created a future-proof home for the city’s next generation of innovators, blending thoughtful design, flexibility, and sustainability with unrivalled connectivity and amenity.”
