With season 2 debuting last month, it’s held the #1 spot in Prime Video’s top 10 shows for weeks. For fans of “The Boys,” “Gen V” is practically required viewing.
It follows a group of students at Godolkin University, a college founded by the good folks at Vought to train the next generation of supes. But as they navigate all the usual messy drama of college life, they uncover something big (and sinister) going on behind the scenes. “Gen V” is as irreverent and gory as “The Boys” but with a fun “X-Men” style spin that takes the piss out of all the iconic YA schools that came before it.

‘The Girlfriend’

If you’re looking to get sucked into a new dark thriller, “The Girlfriend” has your number. Based on Michelle Frances’ bestselling novel, it centers on Laura (Robin Wright), a successful art gallery director who appears to have it all between her thriving career, happy marriage, and a close relationship with her son, Daniel (Laurie Davidson). However, when Daniel introduces his new girlfriend, Cherry (Olivia Cooke), to his family, everything changes.
Laura becomes convinced the young woman isn’t who she claims to be. As she digs deeper, tensions mount and suspicions spiral into obsession. Their feud devolves into a twisted battle of power as two determined women threaten to turn everyone’s lives upside-down if it means being proven right.

‘Fleabag’

I was late to the “Fleabag” train, and I can honestly say it’s just as amazing as everyone says it is (evident by both seasons earning a rare 100% critics’ score on Rotten Tomatoes). Created by and starring Phoebe Waller-Bridge, it’s the critically acclaimed dramedy series that catapulted her to international fame.
Waller-Bridge plays the title character (who never gets a proper name), a sharp-tongued singleton living in London whose self-destructive tendencies often sabotage her chances at love and success. She frequently breaks the fourth wall to deliver brutally honest (and hilarious) commentary about everyone around her, including herself. The standout supporting cast includes Olivia Colman as her insufferably passive-aggressive stepmother and Brett Gelman as her cringeworthy brother-in-law. Season two introduces Andrew Scott as the “Hot Priest,” whose unexpected chemistry with Fleabag leads to a messy romance that solidifies the show’s reputation for fearless, genre-defying storytelling.
