The Gentlemen β 21h10 sur W9
Before the Netflix series that restarted everything, there was the film. And the film is pure Guy Ritchie: a crazy castingwith Matthew McConaughey, Charlie Hunnam, Colin Farrell, and especially Hugh Grant in an absolutely unforgettable villainous counter-employment, served by a writing that beats, razor-sharp dialogues and this sense of impactful editing that we only find with him. If Snatch forged your cinephilia, The Gentlemen is a return to basics that keeps all its promises.

The Mummy β 9:10 p.m. on TFX
The story is known: The Mummy of 2017 was supposed to launch the Dark Universe, Universal’s classic monster franchise. She buried him instead. The critics massacred it, the box office disappointed, and Johnny Depp in Invisible Man never saw the light of day. But past the mourning of what the film could have been, it remains a perfectly watchable fantasy action blockbuster with Tom Cruise and Sofia Boutella in great form as Princess Ahmanet. Perfect for a hassle-free sofa evening.
What is it about? An Egyptian princess buried for centuries is accidentally awakened and decides to take revenge on all humanity. An American soldier finds himself in the heart of the storm, with a curse on his back.
OSS 117: Rio no longer responds β 11:10 p.m. on W9
Yes, it’s from the 2nd part of the evening. And yes, it’s worth standing. Because there are films that we watch every time they are rebroadcast, it doesn’t matter if we know each of the lines by heart. OSS 117 is one of those monuments that never tires (with the exception of the third film, which never existed in our eyes). The pastiche of Michel Hazanavicius’ spy stories is carried by Jean Dujardin at the top of his form, with the initial idea of ββimmortalizing an endearing idiot, constantly caught up in his backward ideas and the gaze of his partners.
What is it about? Twelve years after Cairo, OSS 117 goes to Rio for a new mission. On the trail of a compromising microfilm for the French state, the spy joins forces with an attractive Mossad agent. Together, they must capture a Nazi blackmailer.
