INFLUENCER Bryce Hall says 50 Cent has been dealt the “first loss of his career” after the rapper failed his bid to stop his new horror movie being released.

In an exclusive interview with The U.S. Sun, the TikTok star says he’s pleased that Fifty, who stars in new movie Skill House, lost his initial court case to have the movie’s release blocked – but has “no idea” why he filed the lawsuit.

“He was essentially trying to hold us hostage for $5 million before the movie could come out,” Bryce, who boasts 23.5 million followers and 2.1 billion likes on TikTok, told The U.S. Sun.

“All as I know is he was a producer on the film and he was in the movie.

“And then a few days before the movie came out in theaters, he’s making a big deal. So I have no idea what’s going on.

“But we beat him in court a few days ago and now I can promote the movie and everything’s fine.”

“It was great working with him,” Bryce added.

“I thought we were really chopping it up on set.

“He was really involved in the film and it was a great experience. He didn’t really crack many jokes, but he was extremely nice. I wasn’t expecting him to be as talkative and nice.

“And then this whole thing came about and it prevented us from promoting the movie for a little bit.

“I don’t know what this whole thing is, but he lost, so yeah, I think I can say that we gave him his first loss in his entire career.”

A judge last week denied 50 Cent’s request to block the release of Skill House, allowing the movie to proceed with its scheduled July 11 release.

The hip hop star’s production company had sued the producers, alleging the unauthorized use of his name, image, and voice without a signed agreement or compensation.

The judge ruled that 50 Cent failed to meet the legal standards for a preliminary injunction, though the lawsuit itself will continue.

Bryce confirmed he had been paid for the movie, adding: “Well I can’t speak on anyone’s financials because I don’t know about that, but I know no one else has come out and said that they haven’t been paid.”

The movie, which is out on Friday, is a horror film by the writers of the Saw franchise in which a bunch of influencers are forced to compete against each other for clicks, with the star with the lowest number facing a gruesome death.

“It is a movie with a bunch of influencers that get kidnapped and the writers of Saw makes us die in very gruesome ways,” he said.

“You should watch it if you like blood and gore and competitions.

“And if you hate influencers, it’s the place to watch them die.”

The movie, which is by the makers, is apparently so gruesome, one of the cameramen fainted during a kill scene because there was so much blood.

“He [Fifty Cent] was essentially trying to hold us hostage for $5 million before the movie could come out,”

“That actually did happen,” Bryce said.

“I was in the other room when it happened, but everybody came in freaking out and I just didn’t know what was going on.”

In the film, the famous influencers are kidnapped, have all their followers deleted and have to start from scratch, a scenario Bryce says would “suck” but joked “if it was survival, I think I’d bring it home.”

DYING FOR CLICKS

While obviously extreme, Bryce does believe the movie highlights the competition between influencers – and how some people are ready to do anything for clicks.

“I feel like people will do really demoralizing things for views and this kind of highlights that, except obviously exaggerated, no one’s dying in a gruesome way,” he said.

“But yeah, people do some really messed up things for views, and this is kind of highlighting that.

“When I first started, I was doing things that I normally wouldn’t, but, you just take a step back, you kind of realize, ‘Hey, I gotta chill out’ and then you can move forward from there.'”

And without naming any names, Bryce revealed that some real-life influencers are just as annoying as the ones depicted in the movie.

“I think the actors that are playing the social media people [in the movie], are very similar to some influencers,” he said.

“So if people think it’s over exaggerated, this is how some of them are.

“So like I say it’s a great movie if you don’t like influencers. It’s the film you want to watch because they’re all dying in very gruesome Saw-like ways.”

FIGHT WITH FIFTY?

It’s the first major movie for Bryce, who has made a career out of his hugely popular TikTok and YouTube accounts, where he posts about his life, partying, boxing, and influencer culture.

His new acting role comes after he tried his hand at boxing, taking part in a TikTokers v YouTubers event in 2021, where he lost to Austin McBroom, and a bareknuckle boxing match in 2023 where he beat professional fighter Gee Perez.

While he has previously joked he’d take on 50 Cent in the ring over the movie drama – he’s keen to point out that’s not on the cards.

“Obviously that’s not actually happening…!” he said.

“No, the guy took bullets, so I’m good on punching him. I don’t think that would even hurt him!”

STARTING OUT

Bryce says he never planned on making a career on social media – and only started out when he was a young teen because he had no friends in high school, and wanted to meet new people.

“Yeah I started when I was 14 years old on a live streaming platform, and I did it because I didn’t have friends in high school,” he said.

“So I was not doing it to become an influencer, I just wanted to meet some people on the internet and have a group of friends that I could just play video games with.

“But it started picking up traction – probably two months in – and more and more people were watching my live streams.

“I would do it every day after school and it wasn’t monetized. But then about like six months in, I got monetized and I got my first paycheck and I didn’t even have a bank account at the time.

“I was 14 years old and my mom was like, ‘How did you make this amount of money?’

“And I was like, ‘I just live streamed.’

“So my mom was kind of confused and she was like, ‘Wait, my 14-year-old son is live streaming to a bunch of random people on the internet making money from it. That’s kind of weird.’

“But it was at that point it opened my eyes to the fact this could be a job.

“So I went through the whole social media thing and I’m here today because of it, just from that paycheck that I got when I was 14 years old.”

He now hopes he can combine movie making with his influencing career.

“Obviously we had some bumps in the road with 50 but it was a really fun experience and I’d love to continue,” he said.

The U.S. Sun reached out to a rep for 50 Cent for comment.

Skill House is in theaters from Friday. Tickets can be bought here or at theater box offices.
