Accounting and administration offices with 5 to 120 FTE were just as productive in the past quarter as the quarter before. On average, offices achieve a productivity of 73%. The average productivity of all business service providers is 63.8%.
This is evident from the Benchmark Reports of software scale-up Simplicate. This series of reports is based on research among more than 1,500 business service providers in the Netherlands with 5 to 120 FTE.
High productivity
Productivity is structurally high within the sector. On average, offices achieve a productivity of 73%. This percentage was also achieved in the previous quarter. Small offices are slightly more productive than larger offices (75 vs 71%). The top twenty percent from the Simplicate study are even exceptionally productive at 86%. In comparison: the average productivity of all business service providers is 63.8%. Administrative offices are slightly more productive than accounting firms (75% vs 72%).
Growth in turnover per FTE
The turnover per FTE grew at accounting and administration offices by 5 to 120 FTE to €125,337 per year. Simplicate did not include the passed-on costs. The average turnover per FTE of small offices (<10 FTE) and larger offices (<100 FTE) are very close together. In addition to high productivity, the top twenty percent also score high on hourly rates and this is reflected in a higher turnover per FTE.
