It’s going to be a busy week for Apple. If several analysts are betting on the holding of a video conference on October 28, in order to present new Macs, the Apple brand could also take advantage of this last week of October to publish important updates.
Apple Intelligence arrive
Among the software changes being discussed in Cupertino, the arrival of iOS 18.1 is a hot topic. The update is eagerly awaited, especially by fans of artificial intelligence. They will finally be able to get their hands on Apple Intelligence, the feature that has been so talked about since its presentation last June during Apple’s WWDC.
Concretely, the arrival of Apple Intelligence on iPhones should allow access to numerous features, including intelligent notifications, the summary of the latter or even the ability of the iPhone to rewrite an email or a message, by taking a friendlier or more formal tone depending on the user’s request.
Several options from Apple Intelligence, presented last June by Apple, will nevertheless not be present when Apple Intelligence is released next week. Their arrival will be gradual, throughout the year. The new features related to iOS 18.2 are already known, they should arrive in a few weeks in a final version.
If this update is one of the most important in recent years for the iPhone, marking the start of a new era, it should not even be the only one of the week. Indeed, another update is planned for the coming days. This time it concerns the AirPods Pro 2.
Update for AirPods Pro 2
Their software could be entitled to several modifications, including hearing health tests, presented by Apple during its September conference, centered around the iPhone 16. As a reminder, this functionality should make it possible to test one’s hearing health and, if so, Where applicable, use AirPods Pro 2 as hearing aids.
Apple has worked a lot on this functionality, to the point of receiving approval from the FDA, Food and Drugs Administration, the body responsible for regulating medical equipment on American soil.
