OpenAI is leaving no stone unturned to fight it out against Google. And now the company is at it again with the ChatGPT search engine which will compete with Google’s Gemini-powered search mechanism. The ChatGPT search has been officially released by OpenAI starting today.
It has the capability to generate timely answers along with links that are relevant to the query of a user. The feature is highly similar to Google Search and this could also contribute to the increase of competition between the two. OpenAI started testing the SearchGPT in July 2024 and it was available for the users who signed up for the same. Now, the latest and stable version of the search engine is something that has been refined on the basis of user feedback and other aspects. OpenAI is working on making the search engine more efficient. It will be available in OpenAI projects like Canvas and Advanced Voice. And users from both free and logged-out tiers will be able to use the same in the coming days.
