HALF-LIFE 2 is commonly considered one of the best games of all time, and now everyone can see that for themselves.
Despite being originally released in 2004, it pushed the boundaries of what video games of the time were doing.
The FPS is all about immersive-storytelling, and a far cry from the slow-paced cover based shooting we commonly saw.
Half-Life 2 put Steam developer Valve on the map, and cemented its place in video game history long before the PC platform was popular.
Steam fans can now pick up the classic game for free as part of Half-Life 2’s 20th anniversary celebrations.
You can add it to your Steam account with no strings attached until November 18, at 6pm local time, so there isn’t long for you to grab yours.
There are other games across Half-Life bundles, including The Orange Box bundle, which has been expanded to include both Half-Life games.
The original The Orange Box included Half-Life 2 Episode 2, Portal, and Team Fortress 2.
The current bundle on sale includes these three games plus the original Half-Life, and Half-Life 2 Episode 1 as well as all of the Half-Life 2 DLC.
The whole bundle can be purchased for £1.67/$1.99 before the offer ends on November 22.
Despite this incredible deal, it’s actually not the lowest-ever price for the bundle, but it’s still a great offer.
Not Half-Bad
Half-Life 2 is an older game, but we’ll never turn our noses up at picking up such a classic title for free.
The Orange Box bundle is also a great deal, particularly if you haven’t experienced these games before.
These games can often go on offer or are available cheaply, but picking them up for free is always nicer.
