Vietnamese IT company FPT and auto parts manufacturer Denso have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to accelerate the development of software-defined vehicles (SDVs).
This strategic alliance aims to accelerate the creation of next-generation SDVs, with a particular focus on mass production solutions for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
Under the terms of the MOU, the two companies plan to jointly develop cutting-edge software solutions, leveraging their combined expertise to establish a “fast and high-quality” global development framework.
The partnership foresees significant expansion by the end of 2027, in line with the growing demand for intelligent, software-driven automotive technologies.
In addition to software development, FPT and Denso will establish an offshore development center focused on human resources development and training.
FPT will bring AI engineering expertise, while Denso will provide a joint development plan, training platforms and facilitate personnel exchanges to ensure effective collaboration.
FPT chairman Dr. Truong Gia Binh said: “The automotive industry is at the crossroads of innovation, where the future of mobility is defined by software, intelligence and connectivity.

The latest partnership builds on a successful history of collaboration between FPT and DENSO, which began in 2017.
Initially, the two companies worked together to develop IT services and internal systems for DENSO Japan, before expanding the partnership to Denso US.
In particular, FPT played a key role in the digital transformation of Denso’s factory in Vietnam.
