No rest for budding archaeologists and explorers. Just a few days after the release of the excellent Indiana Jones And the Ancient Circle, we learn that MachineGames, the studio to which we owe this little nugget, is already at work on several games. Among them, we can expect a sequel to the adventures of Indy as well as a potential new opus of Wolfenstein?
MachineGames is working on several unannounced games
Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle is clearly one of the games of the end of the year and the launch of the title was a great success for MachineGames. However, the studio wastes no time and is already returning to the production of several other games. At least, according to audio director Pete Ward on LinkedIn.

The first tracks inevitably lead us to think of a new opus of WolfensteinThus that one (or more) DLC for Indiana Jones. Although a true sequel to Indy’s adventures is also very likely . Because yes, on the LucasFilm side, the release of Ancient Circle East great satisfactionand the company would not be against a second game and see the license Indiana Jones become a video game series.
A few days after the game’s release Douglas Reilly, LucasFilm vice president said in an interview with Variety: “For now, we are focused on the release of Indiana Jones and the Ancient Circle and its DLC, to ensure it is as successful as possible. I think we’re always super interested in big, new stories. And, good news, we have plenty of room to tell stories between films. In any case, we work in close collaboration with MachineGames and the franchise managers”.
The priority is therefore the release of the game (which must still arrive on PS5 in the spring) as well as the first DLC. But the idea of a sequel is clearly in LucasFilm’s head. It would therefore not be surprising if the MachinesGames teams could start pre-production and think about the first ideas now. To be continued!
