There is no doubt that generative AI is here not only to stay but to revolutionize many business processes and to change how we use technology to make our company competitive. Both professionals and managers related to technology are trying to catch up on this new unstoppable wave of advances in artificial intelligence, but it is still difficult to find reliable resources that also allow you to obtain a certification.
Already in May, Microsoft and Linkedin presented a study in which the conclusions were drastic in this sense, such as the figure of 64% of managers would not hire personnel without skills in Artificial Intelligence. Regarding managers, there are also various studies that indicate that their work will change with the arrival of AI on a massive scale in business processes. Therefore, training is strategic at all levels.
Specifically, Microsoft and Linkedin have been proposing different tools and resources for AI training with their Copilot tool with more than 600 specific courses on AI. For its part, Microsoft Learn offers learning paths focused on generative AI, including modules such as “Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals: Generative Artificial Intelligence,” which cover topics such as language models, Azure AI Studio, and responsible AI principles.
As for the competition, Google has developed a series of 11 free courses on generative AI, ranging from the basics to advanced topics such as creating image capture models. These courses, available through Google Cloud Skills Boost, offer skill badges upon completion. On the other hand, OpenAI has launched courses on prompt engineering and the use of the ChatGPT API. Coursera also offers AI training, highlighting the importance of crafting effective prompts and adhering to ethical standards.
For their part, Microsoft and LinkedIn have expanded their certification program in generative Artificial Intelligence (AI) taking another step. This initiative, originally launched in June 2023, seeks to train professionals in the use of generative AI in the work environment to complete their knowledge and enhance the use of AI in business environments. This program has now expanded its content library and is now available through the new AI Skills Navigator portal.
The program consists of five modules that include different materials such as videos, questionnaires and workbooks. By completing all modules it is possible to obtain a Professional Certificate in Generative AI to display on LinkedIn Learning. Although the course focuses mainly on the Microsoft Copilot tool, many of the skills that can be obtained can be applied to other generative AIs. This course will be available in seven languages, including Spanish, and will be free until 2025.
