CUSTOMERS at Jack in the Box can now get a few different wrap offerings on its menu.
The chain recently confirmed the arrival of two new variations as it competes with McDonald’s famous Snack Wrap.
Jack in the Box had tested its wraps, the “Jack Wraps,” in select markets over the past few months and decided on a nationwide rollout at its over 2,200 locations after their success, per a Monday press release.
It noted a commitment to providing customers with “portable, delicious” food items and called out McDonald’s almost directly.
“Unlike other restaurant chains that take years to bring wraps to their menus, Jack in the Box knows how to give customers exactly what they love,” the company jabbed.
The comment is a direct reference to McDonald’s Snack Wrap, which had previously been offered in a crispy and grilled option before being discontinued in 2016.
Customers have been begging for the fast food giant to bring it back ever since, with McDonald’s USA president Joe Erlinger acknowledging that fact in a recent interview with ABC News.
“It has a cult following,” Erlinger said of the Snack Wrap.
“I get so many emails into my inbox about this product.”
While McDonald’s has been teasing the Snack Wrap’s return in a crispy variation sometime very soon, it still hasn’t confirmed a release date in the New Year.
JACK ATTACK
So, the Jack Wraps might be the closest thing right now for McDonald’s Snack Wrap lovers.
The two new Jack Wrap variations include the Chicken Fajita and the Chicken Caesar.
In the Fajita Jack Wrap, there are grilled or crispy chicken strips, shredded cheddar cheese and lettuce, tomato, caramelized onions, and chipotle ranch, all contained within a warm tortilla.
For the Caesar Jack Wrap, customers will find the same grilled or crispy all-white meat chicken, shredded lettuce, tomato, and a Caesar dressing inside the warmed tortilla.
Both wraps join the Spicy Crispy Jack Wrap, Classic Crispy Jack Wrap, and Classic Grilled Jack Wrap on the Jack in the Box menu.
The Spicy Crispy Jack Wrap comes with a single breaded chicken strip, shredded cheddar cheese and lettuce, jalapeños, Spicy Good Good Sauce, and buttermilk ranch, all in a tortilla.
Jack in the Box Jack Wraps
There are now five Jack Wrap offerings on Jack in the Box’s menu. Each is listed for $3 and has different flavoring or chicken types.
- Classic Crispy Chicken Jack Wrap
- Classic Grilled Chicken Jack Wrap
- Spicy Crispy Jack Wrap
- Chicken Fajita Jack Wrap
- Chicken Caesar Jack Wrap
For the Classic Crispy Jack Wrap, it has all the same ingredients except pickles, Good Good Sauce, and buttermilk ranch, and the Classic Grilled is nearly identical, just with grilled chicken instead of breaded.
All of the wraps hover around 380 calories and only cost $3.29 each.
Not to mention, Jack in the Box is currently running a deal through February 16, 2025, that allows customers to get two wraps as part of a Mix ‘n Match Combo with fries and a drink for about $6.
EXECUTIVE APPROVAL
Ryan Ostrom, chief customer and digital officer for Jack in the Box, emphasized customers’ love for the Jack Wraps already.
“We’re always listening to our customers to find out what they’re loving, and adding these new flavors to our fan-favorite wraps is no different,” Ostrom noted in the Monday press release.
“The excitement is real — Jack Wraps have been lighting up social media, with Jack fans raving about the crave-worthy convenience and unforgettable flavors.”
“After taking the time to perfect the Jack Wraps, we’re thrilled to offer a menu item that lives up to the craveable and convenient hype everyone’s looking for,” he added.
Several competitors have also been introducing new menu items recently.
