Get ready for a new flagship smartphone. Samsung’s next Unpacked event will take place on Jan. 22 at 10 a.m. PT in San Jose, California.
It will be livestreamed on both Samsung.com and the company’s YouTube channel. If the naming conventions and lineup remain consistent from last year, expect to see a Galaxy S25, an S25 Plus, and an S Pen-equipped Galaxy S25 Ultra.
“The new Galaxy S series is about to set the bar once again for mobile AI experiences now and into the future,” Samsung says.
Samsung Galaxy Unpacked 2025 teaser
A video teaser for the event starts with four devices up against each other with a blue light shining through a four-point, star-shaped cavity. The camera zooms into the lit section and a microphone appears on screen. A perky voice then says” “Hey, when is the Samsung Galaxy Unpacked?” The date is shown on screen and the voice continues: “Can you put it on my calendar?” The video ends with an animated Galaxy AI logo.
There are a few things that can be gleaned from the short promo video. The devices in the video all have rounded corners, which could give credence to the rumors that the Galaxy S25 Ultra will ditch its squared-off corners for a more hand-friendly curve. The four-point start resembles the Google Gemini logo, though the interface shown does not look like the current version of Gemini.

Samsung is all in with Galaxy AI, its suite of AI tools, which also includes Circle to Search with Google. These two companies have partnered on a number of endeavors over the years. Perhaps the blue star hints at new Gemini integration. Otherwise, the microphone interface could hint at a new version of Samsung’s homegrown assistant Bixby.
To drum up further interest, Samsung is running a promotion that lets you reserve the latest Galaxy S device and receive a $50 credit as a gift. That credit cannot be applied to the Galaxy S, but can be used for other products purchased at the same time. This promo runs until Jan. 22, the date of the Unpacked event.
