In a month, Tomb Raider fans will be able to celebrate Valentine’s Day with Lara Croft thanks to the new compilation Tomb Raider IV-VI Remasteredinviting you to discover (or rediscover) the adventures of the most famous archaeologist with Tomb Raider IV: The Final Revelation, Tomb Raider V: In the Footsteps of Lara Croft et Tomb Raider VI: Angel of Darkness.
One year after the release of the first trilogy Tomb Raider I-III RemasteredAspyr delights us and prolongs the pleasure by offering us our dose of adventure and travel. But this time, fans want a flawless game, not like in 2024.
Tomb Raider IV-VI Remastered will not repeat the mistakes of the past
A year ago, Aspyro offered us a remastering of Tomb Raider, Tomb Raider II: The Dagger of Xian et Tomb Raider III: The Adventures of Lara Croft on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PC, Switch, PS4 and Xbox One, allowing players to discover (or nostalgic fans to rediscover) the first adventures of the English archaeologist in a sublimated version, improved and with additional content.
Aspyr proposed a very nice copyhigh quality. Unfortunately, some versions were not completely finished with some details that lacked precision. In itself, nothing too bad, the game was not bugged to the point of preventing players from progressing and there was nothing alarming. But, it was on details that it got stuck with for example lighting problemsdes items not very visible on certain textures, etc. We could see that the studio would have needed a few additional days or weeks to refine the title.
One month before the release of the new compilation, Matthew Ray, manager at Aspyr, spoke in an interview with the media Gamingbolt. On the latter, he reassures everyone by confirming that for the release of Tomb Raider IV-VI Remasteredall the little problems will be corrected!
He thus confirms that “great efforts have been put in place” to make it even stronger than the first collection and avoid all the little bugs and issues that could prevent players from living the ultimate experience. Thus, this second compilation should be better than the first.
Of course, you will still be entitled to improved graphics, the ability to switch to the original games with a single click, photo mode, and more than 150 new trophies/achievements. See you on February 14 to go on an adventure again!
