MSI Cubi NUC is the line of Mini-PCs that the Taiwanese firm offers for all types of computing tasks and especially for companies and offices that seek productivity while taking up minimal space on the desk.
MSI has gone through CES 2025 updating a good part of its catalog. The main thing is its gaming laptops, where it is – along with ASUS – the world leader in sales. Also desktops and their group of components, motherboards or graphics cards. But it has also had time to present new developments in more professional products.
MSI Cube NUC
The new line includes two models, Cubi NUC AI+ 2M and Cubi NUC AI 1UM, both designed for “deliver exceptional performance in incredibly compact formats”as highlighted in their presentation.
With a size of only 0.826 liters of volume, the Cubes NUC AI+ 2M wants to set a new standard for office mini PCs. Despite its compact size, it is equipped with an Intel Core Ultra processor from the ‘Lunar Lake’ platform and ships with AI tools designed to improve productivity and user experience.
Equipped with a dedicated neural processing unit (NPU AI Boost), it works as a PC Copilot+integrating AI-powered applications such as CoCreator, Windows Studio Effects, Live Captions and Live Translation. One of its standout features is the one-touch fingerprint power button, which provides security and convenience. Additionally, a dedicated Copilot button offers instant access to AI assistance, streamlining daily workflows and tasks. The built-in microphone and speaker enrich the user experience, allowing for seamless communication and voice-activated commands.
Connectivity is another strong point, with support for the latest connectivity standards Wi-Fi 7 y Bluetooth 5.4 and two ports Thunderbolt 4one of which supports up to 100W power delivery input. This means the compact can be powered directly through a monitor using a Type-C connection, minimizing cable clutter and simplifying setup. It also has two 2.5G LAN ports and two 10Gbps USB Type A ports.
For those looking for a more compact solution, MSI offers the NUC AI 1UM cubes. With a chassis height of just 37.5 mm and a total volume of 0.51 liters, it is designed to fit effortlessly into any workspace without compromising performance. It is also equipped with an Intel Core Ultra processor and AI Boost NPU, can support up to four displays simultaneously, has two HDMI ports and two Thunderbolt 4 ports, for multitasking and complex workflows.
