In this way, Intel Capital, which currently has approximately $5 billion in assets, will be able to receive capital from entities and organizations outside the company. Until now the division only had capital for investment from Intel.
Intel Capital’s staff will not experience changes, as it will continue working in the fund when it becomes independent, which will happen during the second half of this year 2025. Intel Capital was born in 1991, and was the first division dedicated to investment within a large multinational. Since then, many companies from all sectors in addition to technology have created their investment areas.
