Microsoft has decided to improve its AI chat available through its cloud office platform with the launch of Microsoft 365 Copilot Chatwhich gives access to various AI tools y allows you to create agents in a pay-per-use format. These options will be added to those that Microsoft 365 business customers already had for free.
Copilot Chat allows all employees in an organization or company who have a Microsoft 365 subscription to start using Copilot and agents. This includes a free AI chat powered by GPT-4o, agents that can be accessed or generated directly from the chat, and various IT controls, including enterprise data protection and agent management.
Microsoft’s plans for the future regarding AI in its cloud office suites involve each client organization having a combination of Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat and Microsoft 365 Copilot to use AI. Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat offers the ability to insert any document into a chat, and ask for a summary of the key points of a document in Word, analyze data in an Excel sheet, suggest improvements for a PowerPoint presentation.
Copilot Pages makes collaboration easier by allowing you to add content and work with colleagues using AI in real time and at the same point, including content from Copilot, from users’ own files or from the web. It also allows you to create images using Artificial Intelligence.
Using natural language, Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat users can generate agents to automate repetitive tasks and business processes, directly in Copilot Chat. Once these agents are created, which as we have mentioned are pay-per-use, the IT department will be in charge of managing them. IT departments can also create agents at the organization level, as well as manage their deployment supported by Copilot Studio.
Copilot Chat includes various Copilot Control System functionslike the data protection for your privacy and security. It also allows you to govern access and manage the use and life cycle of Copilot and agents, as well as measure and generate reports. In addition to the Windows, Android or iPhone application stores, Microsoft 365 Copilot is available on its website.
