It seems that with every new generation of Samsung smartphones, we see exciting experiments with form factors, components, and software. We’ve been reviewing the Galaxy handhelds (highly) for years, and the upcoming Galaxy S25 is promising a big leap in how you use your mobile device.
On January 22 at 10 a.m. PST, the company is holding a Galaxy Unpacked event. For the past few years, they’ve used this beginning-of-the-year presentation to introduce new hardware as well as open up preorders. We’ve already seen some preliminary renders of the S25, which feature more rounded corners and thinner bezels. On the inside, we’re expecting an upgrade to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor, possibly upgraded for a little faster clock speed and expanded RAM. Samsung’s onboard Bixby virtual assistant is going to see some AI features, similar to Apple’s latest Siri update.
This year, in addition to the S25, rumors are swirling about additional models, including a potential slimline form factor. We’re fairly certain we’ll get the traditional Galaxy S25, S25 Plus, and S25 Ultra, at least. We’re not currently expecting any pricing changes, so they should hold to the S24s: the base model starts at $799, the Plus variant starts at $999, and the Ultra variant starts at $1,299.
If you want to snag one, the best way to do it is through Samsung’s official site. When you do, you’ll also get:
-
$50 in Samsung credit
-
Up to $1,250 in potential additional savings
-
A chance to win $5,000 in Samsung credit
Reserve a new Samsung Galaxy S25 here. It’s important to note that this isn’t a pre-order, so no deposit is required. You’re just letting the company know you’re interested. You only get the $50 credit if you follow through on a purchase of a Galaxy S25. No purchase is necessary for the $5,000 contest.
