Rumors are swirling around the 4th generation iPhone SE. While the smartphone should be presented by Apple in the spring, we already know many of its characteristics with various information leaks, more or less reliable. One of the latest mentions the arrival of Dynamic Island on the iPhone SE.
If the departure of Touch ID had already been noted for several months, with the arrival of a brand new design and Touch ID, the question of Dynamic Island was still unresolved. But according to information from Apple specialist Evan Blass, there is no longer room for doubt. He shared an image of the future 4th generation iPhone SE on social networks. You can clearly see Dynamic Island at the top of the phone.
iPhone SE or iPhone 16E ? Apple has made its choice
In recent weeks, a rumor has gained a lot of weight. It suggested that Apple was not going to name its next entry-level smartphone “iPhone SE”, but rather “iPhone 16E”. A surprising choice, because Apple has never used this letter in its naming of its devices. The choice of an iPhone 16C would have been more appropriate, Apple having already used such a nomenclature.
But ultimately, this rumor was contradicted by several brand experts, starting with Evan Blass. He returned to X on this question and assured that the next Apple iPhone would indeed be an “SE”. He assures that this name is found in the source code of iOS, further proof that goes in his direction.
iPhone SE 4: big changes to come
The arrival of Dynamic Island should not be the only major change on this new iPhone SE. If Apple therefore plans to review the front of the phone, removing the borders for good, other improvements are expected. Apple is expected to add new components in this low-cost smartphone.
Several rumors have mentioned the arrival of Apple Intelligence, as well as a very recent chip. The A18 Pro, present in the iPhone 15 Pro, should therefore be included. Apple could also introduce its own 5G modem, no longer using Qualcomm products.
The only common points between the two iPhone SEs (the 3rd and 4th generation) should be in the camera. To maintain a device with a reasonable cost (we are talking here about less than 600 euros), Apple would have skipped improvements to its photo sensor.
