Tonight at 7 p.m. (French time), Microsoft is inaugurating its year 2025 with his first conferencea new episode of the Xbox Developers Direct that the American firm has gotten into the habit of organizing every year in January since 2023.
As always, Xbox will highlight several of its studios with their various games in preparation and coming this year. Generally, every year, we are treated to a big surprise announcement. For the moment, two theories and rumors which seem the most credible evoke the announcement of a Remake of The Elder Scrolls IV : Oblivionor else, the announcement of the return of a very big cult Japanese license.

As always, a large part of the program is already known. The idea of Xbox Developers Direct is not to reveal games in preview but to provide updates on the progress of development. Microsoft is thus revealing the program in advance to avoid any false hopes!
- DOOM : The Dark Ages : Delve into the Doom Slayer’s past with DOOM: The Dark Ages, developed by legendary studio id Software. This prequel to DOOM (2016) and DOOM Eternal reveals the epic, cinematic origins of the Doom Slayer and his insatiable rage. In this third installment of the modern saga, take on the role of the Doom Slayer and fight the forces of Hell in a dark and brutal medieval war, never seen before.
- South of Midnight : Contrast and We Happy Few creators, Compulsion Games, will reveal more about South of Midnight, a third-person adventure game set in the haunting landscapes of the American South. You will play Hazel, a heroine immersed in a quest that combines family mysteries and fantastical creatures inspired by Southern folklore.
- Chiaroscuro: Expedition 33 : Head to Montpellier to discover Sandfall Interactive, a French studio which will make its debut with Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The developers will share their vision and the manufacturing secrets behind this title.

Announcements from the Xbox Developers Conference 2025:
19h – The conference begins directly with the announcement of the “Mystery” game with the return of the license Ninja Gaidenmore than ten years after the last opus. Ninja Gaiden 4 is already expected for fall 2025. The game will be available on the day of its release on Xbox Game Pass.
19h12 – After the announcement of Ninja Gaiden 4Team Ninja also announces the remake of Ninja Gaiden 2 : Black. The game is available today ! And available in Game Pass.
19h15 – Now for the presentation of South of Midnightthe new game from Compulsion Games. The game will finally be released on April 8available, again, Day One on Xbox Game Pass.
19h25 – Now time for the French studio Sandfall Interactive with the presentation of Chiaroscuro: Expedition 33. The game will be released on April 24, 2025, with a Day One release on Xbox Game Pass.
19h37 – It’s the turn of Doom: The Dark Ages, scheduled for May 15, 2025 and which will arrive on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. The game will be available Day One in Game Pass.
