THE Fox NFL Sunday crew got a good laugh after Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski recreated an infamous play.
Brady was the centerpiece of the infamous Tuck Rule play, and his opponent from that play was on live TV with him.
The infamous Tuck Rule play took place between Brady and Charles Woodson in 2001.
In a divisional playoff game between the New England Patriots and Oakland Raiders.
During the game, Brady started to throw the ball when Woodson came in and dislodged it from him.
The Raiders recovered what appeared to be a fumble, but the call was later reversed.
The officials utilized the tuck rule to say the fumble actually counted as a forward pass, thus nullifying the play.
The play has been immortalized as one of the most controversial in history.
Fast forward over 20 years, and Woodson and Brady stood side by side on Fox NFL Sunday.
Together they discussed the infamous play while watching it together.
“I’m sorry,” Brady said to Woodson.
Woodson accepted his apology, but responded by knocking a football out of Brady’s hands for a fumble.
“Look, he fumbled again!” Woodson yelled.
After calling that out, Michael Strahan went to recover the fumble and Brady tackled him.
Rob Gronkowski came out of nowhere and pounced on the ball to recover it for Brady.
“I always come through for Tom!” Gronk yelled.
