Microsoft has confirmed to The Verge that Next year it will integrate into the Teams platform Various functions that will make it look like Facebook or LinkedIn a little more. Apparently, the plans that Redmond have for Teams go through integrating A feed similar to Facebook or LinkedInand they would be testing how it will work, as well as their functions.
According to several sources, Teams user teams will be able to make publications in the FEED, known for the moment as a storyline, and answer the publications of their classmates, in the same way that is done on Facebook or LinkedIn.
The company sees it as a way that the colleagues of a group or a company can share with the rest advertisements, news or the level of progress of a project. Or to internally share the types of content that can be found in LinkedIn.
However, Microsoft is not using LinkedIn to shape this new Teams function. Apparently, Teams is developed from Viva Engage, the substitute for Yammer that the company launched some years ago. Live engagement, in fact, was already available through Microsoft Teams, but is set in a different tab. Its presence is not evident, so it is not widely used.
Thus, the button that is now used in Teams to send a message or create a channel will soon have a new option: create a publication in Storyline. These publications will appear in a storyline tab dedicated in user profiles, between the habitual chat sections and files.
Users, if they wish, can follow their colleagues and publications, as is done on other social networks. And reactions and comments to publications will appear in the Teams activity feed. In addition, it is possible that it incorporates some payment functions, such as the possibility of having analytics. These functions will appear if Microsoft Teams Premium is hired.
Besides, IT administrators will be able to control who can or may not create new publicationsor make relevant ads about the team or the company. Of course, the moderation of the post will be a thing of each member of the Teams team and users, and the rules of each company.
