The hugely popular franchise has spawned more than 200 titles since bursting onto the scene in 1985.

It’s well worth checking if you have one of the titles listed below gathering dust.
Remember, most attract the biggest fee if they still have their original box.
And you can get even more if they’re unopened too.
Super Mario Bros 5 Screw

The NES console had two types of screws in the game cartridges, a three screw and a five screw.
Nintendo started with a five screw variant before moving onto three.
If you happen to have a complete in-box 5 screw version of the Super Mario Bros, you could get up to £250 for it.
Super Mario RPG

But it was released only a few months before the N64 which stole its thunder.
And it’s not available on Switch Online either.

No, Mario Kart 8 Limited Edition’s Wii U game can get a whooping £870 according to The Gamer.
But you’ll need the red boxed version to net that amount.
And only 350 copies were sold at a speciality store in New York City, according to The Gamer.
So the only way you are likely to be sat on this one is if you were on holiday in the States at the time.
