LARA Trump has given a sneak peak into her “welcome home” to Fox News as she prepares for her new show, which airs for the first time this weekend.

Lara’s show kicks off on Saturday at 9 pm, promising a “behind-the-scenes look” at some of the most prominent figures in the White House, she told The U.S. Sun.

The first episode features sit-down interviews with special guests including Attorney General Pam Bondi, United States Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard, and White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt.

“I think the interviews we have this week are awesome,” Lara revealed.

“These are strong, intelligent women who have become friends of mine and just happen to be in these amazingly important positions within the Trump administration.”

Leavitt, 28, has caught the public’s eye as the youngest person ever to hold the prestigious position.

Lara revealed she has been “blown away” by the firecracker’s time at the podium, which has been full of fiery comebacks and no-nonsense briefings.

“She’s totally killing it,” Lara said, adding that the press secretary is “so impressive.”

“You know, it’s funny because I’ve known Karoline for a little over a year now.

“She was obviously the spokesperson for the Trump campaign. And I knew her as, you know, a colleague.

“And I was always very impressed with her.

“I see her in interviews and different moments and different spaces, but you really never know how someone will be until they take that podium. And she blew me away.”

She said she was surprised at first by Leavitt’s fiery attitude in the briefing room.

“I didn’t know all that was in there,” Lara said, noting that Leavitt is a “little, very sweet-looking package.”

“She’s absolutely incredible. And we’re so proud of the job that she’s doing.”

Leavitt is a former Fox News personality – which she has in common with Lara, whose return to the network comes after she previously worked at the network as a contributor.

Lara’s appearances on Fox during the Republican National Convention, in particular – coming just days after the sickening assassination attempt on her father-in-law, Donald – secured her as a viewer favorite.

“It’s about more transparency, not less, which is following in the footsteps of Donald Trump himself.”

Lara told The U.S. Sun it’s been comforting to return to the network.

“I’ve worked with Fox previously, I had such a great experience there. In a lot of ways it kind of felt like coming home to me,” she said.

“So I was really excited when this kind of came to fruition. It actually made it an easier choice for me to say yes to this because, having been there once, knowing the lay of the land, and the atmosphere at Fox News, I was really excited to be back on the team.”

Lara’s massive decision to begin a Fox News show comes as she faced multiple other options, with everyone eager to have her on their team.

After a highly-successful run as RNC co-chair, her resignation from that role in December 2024 appeared to clear the way for her to fill the Florida Senate seat left empty but Marco Rubio’s move to Secretary of State.

Yet Elon Musk also had his eye on the Republican rising star, offering Lara a role in his newly formed Department of Government Efficiency.

“I really wrestled with this decision because it’s a big decision on all fronts,” Lara said of her choice to step away from both those roles for the Fox position.

She admitted that the choice between DOGE, the Senate, and Fox ultimately “had to do with my kids.”

Lara shares two young children with her husband, Eric.

“My kids are five and seven years old. Nothing’s more important to a parent than your children,” Lara added.

“And they’re at an age where they still want me around. They always want mom and dad around. They want to hang out with us.

“Time is really precious when you have kids.

“And so the thought of me as potentially Senator having to spend most of a week, if not a full week, in Washington, D.C., while my family lived down in Florida, was very tough for me to stomach.

“Likewise, had I chosen to go the path of DOGE, which I thought was so cool because I knew they were going to do amazing things, it has blown me away.”

Lara Trump’s career to date

A graduate of North Carolina State University, Lara Trump began her career as a producer for CBS’ Inside Edition.

Most recently, she served as the Republican National Committee’s co-chair, where she played a pivotal role in the re-election of President Donald Trump.

She was also crucial in campaigning as Republicans regained control of the Senate and maintaining a House majority.

Lara was previously a senior adviser to the Trump campaign during the 2020 presidential election and served as surrogate during his 2016 campaign.

In addition to her political career, Lara has hosted a web series entitled The Right View since 2020.

The series features a panel of conservative women dissecting the sociopolitical issues of the day.

Lara also served as an FNC contributor from 2021–2022, offering her take on headlines across daytime and primetime programming.

Another added family bonus of the Fox move? The Trump family can also visit her on the show.

“I can assure you of two for sure who you will see,” she joked.

“One of them is Donald Trump himself. He’s promised me. In fact, he said to me that if I want this show to be a success, I have to make sure I have him on. So I’ve gotten his buy-in.

“And I’m married to the other one who I can guarantee you will be on there, because he knows our marriage will depend on it. But he’s happy to do it.”

And of the show itself? Well, Lara promised she would be following in her father-in-law’s footsteps each week.

“It’s about more transparency, not less, which is following in the footsteps of Donald Trump himself,” she told viewers.

“I don’t think that it’s necessarily that I’ll be reporting on breaking news in the moment unless something is pressing, of course.

“But it’s more about giving people a side of things that I don’t think you get in this kind of fast-paced, 24/7 news cycle that we’re in.

“This is a moment on Saturday nights to kind of slow down for an hour, really take it in, and get to know who a lot of these people are.

“And so that’s really the overall goal.”

My View with Lara Trump premieres on February 22. The new program will air on Saturdays from 9-10 pm ET.
