In comparison to the cultural domination of “Barbenheimer,” which was followed by a Best Picture win for Oppenheimer, the competition for the top prize at the 2025 Oscars is much more uncertain. Online controversies, lack of strong buzz around any one film, and a growing international voter base all make predicting the Best Picture winner at the 97th Academy Awards exceptionally difficult.

Trying to win your office’s Oscar ballot competition or just curious to see everything up for America’s biggest movie award? Lucky for you, many of the films—including Wicked, Anora, and The Brutalist—are available to watch at home. Unfortunately, they are spread across multiple platforms, and the digital rental options can quickly get expensive. To help you find and watch the movies before the 2025 Oscars airs, we’ve compiled a list of where to find all of the Best Picture nominees online, when available.

Emilia Pérez

A one-of-a-kind musical about a Mexican cartel leader transitioning from male to female, Emilia Pérez earned the most Oscar nominations in 2025, with 13. Despite leading the pack in the number of opportunities to win, the movie is no longer considered the front-runner for Best Picture after unearthed social media posts from the lead actress drew widespread backlash.

The Brutalist

Yes, The Brutalist is the one with an actual, 15-minute intermission. The sweeping drama about an immigrant architect coming to America after World War II earned 10 nominations and is one of the top critical darlings, with a realistic shot at winning Best Picture—though it may lose out after an upswell of support for Anora.

Wicked

One of the top grossing movies of 2024, Wicked is a musical adaptation of the Wizard of Oz story refocused on the witch’s perspective. Cynthia Erivo and Ariana Grande received nominations as Best Actress and Best Supporting Actress, respectively.

A Complete Unknown

In A Complete Unknown, Timothée Chalamet plays Bob Dylan during the musician’s rise to stardom. The movie is up for eight awards at the 2025 Oscars, including Chalamet competing for Best Actor.

Conclave

After winning the Best Picture award at the British Academy of Film and Television Arts awards, Conclave comes into the Oscar race with eight nominations. The movie focuses on the politicking for religious power after the death of a pope.

Anora

Winner of the Best Picture award at this year’s Critics Choice Awards, Anora is nominated in six categories at the 97th Academy Awards. The movie follows the romance between a sex worker in Brooklyn and the son of a Russian oligarch.

Dune: Part Two

Also starring Timothée Chalamet, who is not nominated for this performance, Dune: Part Two has five nominations, mainly in technical categories. Production for the third Dune movie in this franchise is expected to begin later this year.

I’m Still Here

The first Best Picture nominee to be fully produced in Brazil, I’m Still Here is up for three awards, including Best International Film and Best Actress. The movie tells the story of a Brazilian woman going on a journey of self discovery after the loss of her longtime partner.

Nickel Boys

Nominated for Best Adapted Screenplay as well as Best Picture, Nickel Boys is a historical drama about the racism and violence inflicted on two Black teenagers as they navigate a 1960s reform school in Florida.

The Substance

A body horror movie starring Demi Moore as an aging actress willing to go to any lengths, even highly questionable injections, to recapture her youthful self again. The Substance is up for five awards at this year’s ceremony, including Moore for Best Actress.
