Global software provider Accenture is investing in Workhelix, a tech-enabled services company specializing in AI-drivien workforce optimization.
Accenture indicated in a media statement on February 27, that the strategic investment, made through Accenture Ventures, will accelerate workforce readiness for generative AI. The investment also aims to enhance Accenture LearnVantage, a comprehensive training and reskilling platform designed to help organizations bridge AI-related skill gaps.
As AI continues to redefine roles and processes across industries, organizations need a structured approach to integrating AI into their workflows while equipping employees with the necessary skills. Accenture’s recent Pulse of Change survey highlights this key challenge—while 86% of C-suite executives plan to increase generative AI investments, only 35% of employees fully grasp its potential value.
By integrating Workhelix capabilities into Accenture LearnVantage, organizations will gain deeper insights into how generative AI can streamline tasks, redefine roles, and drive tangible business value. The collaboration will enable businesses to develop actionable AI adoption strategies, track progress, and measure return on investment more effectively.
Accenture LearnVantage serves as a robust solution to this challenge, offering AI-native learning experiences that seamlessly integrate with existing learning management systems. Through an AI-powered recommendation engine, LearnVantage curates industry-specific training content from Accenture and third-party providers, ensuring a personalized learning journey tailored to business priorities.
“Generative AI is directing and reinventing how we work,” said Kishore Durg, global lead of Accenture LearnVantage. “Organizations need a vision to reshape their workforce, reinvent learning, and prepare for an AI-driven future. Our partnership with Workhelix strengthens our capabilities in talent transformation, offering personalized learning for both tech and non-tech employees.”
Workhelix brings an innovative, task-based approach to workforce transformation by leveraging over 450 million publicly available workplace data points across 20,000 jobs and 300,000 activities, Workhelix provides organizations with data-driven insights and strategic roadmaps to optimize workforces and maximize AI’s impact.
James Milin, Co-Founder and CEO of Workhelix, said, “The workforce and economy of 2035 will look significantly different than today, and we’re excited to collaborate with Accenture to drive this transformation with data and rigor.”
As part of the investment, Workhelix will also join Accenture Ventures’ Project Spotlight, an accelerator program for AI and data startups. Through this initiative, Workhelix will gain access to Accenture’s industry expertise and enterprise network, further expanding its ability to shape the future of workforce AI integration.
This investment underscores Accenture’s commitment to equipping businesses with the tools and strategies needed to successfully navigate the AI revolution, ensuring workforces are prepared for the future of work.
What this means for ERP Insiders
Use task-based analysis to identify inefficient processes. Research from MIT Sloan shows that Gen AI can improve a highly-skilled worker’s performance by around 40% compared to those who don’t use it. Another study by Nielsen Norman Group reports an average productivity increase of 66% when business users employ Gen AI tools. Thus, when Workhelix’s task-based analysis is integrated into Accenture’s LearnVantage platform through this investment, it will help ERP users identify redundant or inefficient processes and leverage AI-driven insights to streamline workflows, improving operational efficiency.
Ensure customized training through Accenture LearnVantage. As the Accenture study indicates, AI skills gap remains a pressing concern. A 2023 survey by the Boston Consulting Group also found that while 86% of workers believe they would need training in AI, only 14% of workers have received any upskilling to date. Accenture LearnVantage’s AI-powered recommendation engine ensures ERP professionals receive customized training, keeping their skill sets aligned with evolving AI-driven enterprise needs as tailored training programs can accelerate AI adoption and proficiency within ERP ecosystems.
Create actionable roadmaps to embed Gen AI into ERP systems. By utilizing data from over 450 million workplace data points in Workhelix, organizations using Accenture LearnVantage can drive innovation and measurable business impact. For example, research suggests that automation can increase global productivity by 0.8% to 1.4% per year and 31% of businesses have fully automated at least one function, indicating a trend towards embracing AI-driven solutions for operational improvements.
